Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in heavy civil excavation and flatworks, pipeline placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving. Our Team
With a team of over 300 skilled employees, ARCP has the expertise and experience to complete any project regardless of size and complexity. This includes road and highway construction equipped with underground utilities, bridge construction, building construction, new subdivisions, pipeline renewals and large commercial parking lots. Our senior management team have decades of experience in their fields, and most have worked internationally.
Brad Hickey
CEO, Co-founder of ARCP
With over 20 years experience in Nova Scotia’s heavy civil construction industry, Brad is widely regarded as one of the most experienced in the business. After obtaining his Civil Engineering Technologist (CET) diploma in 1998, he began working for some of Nova Scotia’s largest construction companies as a Superintendent. He and his cousin Tom Hickey started Atlantic Road Construction & Paving in 2008, and it quickly became one of the largest construction companies in the province. Brad believes strongly that the foundation of any company should be focused on obtaining the best people possible, supported by the right equipment and resources to meet deadlines and deliver the best quality to customers.
Craig McPherson
Health & Safety Manager
Craig has quickly become one of the top Health & Safety Managers in Nova Scotia’s heavy civil construction industry. His safety experience started in 2011 while working for Talisman Energy as Measurement Coordinator where he would provide HSE metrics. He is OHS Certified, CUSP Designated, CRSP Designated and NCSO Certified, just to name a few. Craig has held senior safety positions with companies such as SNC Lavalin, Iconic Power Systems, and PowerTel Utilities before starting as Health & Safety Manager with Atlantic Road Construction & Paving in 2018.
Darrin Natolino
General Superintendent
After completing his Construction Project Management Certificate in 2000, Darrin gained experience working for several small construction companies until starting his own construction company in 2005. After successfully running The Natolino Group for 4 years, Darrin started work with Transportation and Public Works, eventually becoming Superintendent of Winter Operations. Looking to be more involved in roadway rehabilitation and maintenance year-round, Darrin joined ARCP in 2015 as General Superintendent.
